I visit this temple 2 years ago. It was my first time to go abroad and I in Love with Bangkok. This temple also amazing. I visit it around 4pm and I thought it was the best time to visit! Because the sunshine at that time makes the temple looked stunning. When get darker I found out more enjoyable and relax. Next time I will visit it again and explore more

A nice place to visit to be get in touch with the religious side of The Land of a Thousand Smiles. Lots of instagram-worthy photo spots around and the lovely architecture is really quite aesthetically pleasing. Also, be enchanted by the giant statue of Buddha lying sideways. It is really quite a sight.

Home of the reclining Buddha. Budget at least a good hour for this historical site. Make sure you allow at least two hours to visit the Grand Palace across the the street from Wat Pho. Admission is payable in Thai Bhat. US dollars are not accepted at the ticket counter at either location. You will have to remove your footware quite frequently, as you temple hop. Restroom facilities on the premises have no paper towels or toilet paper available. Be sure and bring your own bathroom supplies, including hand sanitizer.

Make sure to dress properly when visiting the reclining Buddha: long skirt and something to cover your shoulders up! You want to respect their culture, and most importantly, they won't let you in if you don't follow these rules. It was a nice experience, hard to take the whole reclining buddha in one picture! And crowded... as expected during Christmas time.

One of a nicest place you should come to visit in Bangkok, Thailand. You can see the ginormous buddha statue in the pagoda. The location is in the central of Bangkok next to the Grand palace. You can take sky train (BTS), then take the Chao Phraya boat to the pier then Wat pho is right in front of you. FYI. The entrance fee is free for Thai citizen but if you are a foreigner, you got to pay for the entrance. (Around 500 baht I guess)

The beautiful temple is in the center of Bangkok. You can walk around to see architecture that explain the history. This temple is famous of massage also.

Wat Phra is probably best known for the Reclining Buddha which, at 15 metres in height and 46 metres in length, is extremely impressive. Because of it's size, and the fact that is is enclosed inside the Viharn Phranorn Chapel, it is very difficult to get really good photos, but taking a camera with you is absolutely essential. In spite of it being, obviously, very busy, we were able to get great views of it as we walked all the way around.
Other parts of Wat Phra / Wat Pho, especially worth seeing, are Phra Chedi Rai, Phra Rabiang Cloisters, Sala Karn Parien, Phra Maha Chedi Si Rajakarn, Phra Ubosot and Phra Mondop. This is why going with a knowledgeable guide is such an advantage, as the names and history of each part are explained to you, saving invaluable time if you wish to visit other popular sights on the same day.

If you visit to Bangkok, Thailand but you cannot to visit to Wat Pho, it means that you have not a fun journey. Wat Pho is one of the most well-known temples which almost visitors should to go to once in your life. To enter the main entrance, you have to pay 200 Baht for a ticket. In this place, my wife and I were able to connect to the nature and I hope I will come back if I have more opportunities.

A must visit place in Thailand and maybe even south East Asia! This place is so huge and vast that I suggest you take a guide along or you will miss something just like I did. One really cool thing is the free maps/ printed guides they have in various languages. Love the detail and richness in all the buildings and artifacts. The place is usually packed and the earlier you go the better.

One of the beautiful Buddhist temple of Thailand. Main attraction here is the big lying statue of Lord Buddha. Temple is well maintained and is good attraction for the tourists coming to Bangkok. It is part of the Bangkok city tour. You can spend 10-15 minutes here. Statue of Buddha is very big and beautiful and is a rare sight.
