How to Reach Bangkok?

By Flight

To reach for the city of Bangkok there are two main airports, one running in the North and another from the East of Bangkok. It is the Suvarnabhumi Airport that locates itself 25 km to the east and the Don Muang Airport located 24 km to the north catering to domestic and international flights in abundance.

Suvarnabhumi airport has direct and easy connectivity to the city by taxis, buses, and Airport Rail Link that is a high-speed train service in downtown Bangkok. There will be round the clock availability of roadway services from outside both the airports to drop you to your final destination.

By Road

The roadway services offer you with buses and taxis that get you wherever you wish to be in Bangkok. There are three bus terminals considered to be the major ones, the Northern Bus Terminal- Mochit, the Eastern Bus Terminal-Ekkamai, and the Southern Bus Terminal-Sa Tai.

The buses will take you not just round the city but also to Pattaya, Krabi, Phuket, etc. cities neighbouring Bangkok. If looking out for taxi services, then do know that the taxis run according to the metered price so confirm the prices before the journey.

By Train

Bangkok has great rail connectivity throughout Thailand and also to other neighbouring countries. Hua Lamphong serves as the main railway station of the city to travel to neighbouring countries and many other parts of Thailand. There is another railway station, Thornburi station that connects the city from within for travelling to the local parts of the city.

A rice barge to go one way and a more sophisticated boat to eat fruits and to return. Very interesting to watch the city and people's life along the waterway. A bit surprised you have to pay for the bread to feed catfish in the river. Guidance on boat through loudspeaker was hardly audible. Above all, we badly missed mangosteen!!

Fantastic tour! Confirmed to hotel so no worrying if they would turn up. Picked up promptly and dropped at pier. Passed over to tour guide who was the loveliest man you could ever meet. A real gem! Loved the sights and very informative. Had the tour to ourselves as a group of 4 so felt like VIPs as we passed a few boats rammed with people! Felt guilty as we couldn't eat enough of the fruit buffet to do it justice as there was enough to feed a boat full. The river was not dirty as some reviews would lead you to believe. A lovely relaxing afternoon and a break from padding the streets and shops. Worth every baht!

it was pretty nice. The guide on the boat in the canal part of our tour did not enunciate her english very well so it was very hard to understand her. The next boat, the rice barge, had a much better guide, very understandable, and the fruit buffet was great.

due to the time of year and the curfew and travel restrictions imposed by various countries. this turned in to a private cruise with ourselves and one other couple. transport to and from the hotel was excellent and on time. the cruise its self was not exactly what we thought it was going to be, that said it was enjoyable and tasting the various fruits on offer on the barge was a delicious experience.

Would have liked to explore the canals further. The guide was interesting and gave us an insight into the current protests. The ad said we would be travelling on a longtail boat - not the case - and there would be very few people on the tour - again not the case.

The two boat trips were fun but the best part was the fruit and snack buffet on the rice barge--the first part of the cruise was on a smaller boat. Because of the traffic problems caused by the protests I was picked up early, so I had some time to wait until the cruise started.
