An amazing way of celebrating my wife's 40th on February 29th: her verdict was "Best Birthday Ever". This cruise is fun, buzzy, colourful and memorable. The buffet was exceptional and plentiful in quantity, quality and variety, the live entertainment fabulously noisy and exciting, the views of the city from the boat enchanting. We loved it and would go again tonight if we could.

I thought I had the best of both worlds - sunset and night scenes. What turned out was it was rather hazy during sunset time and as for nighttime, the boat will have navigated to Asiatique by then so you do not get to see the night scene of the area around Wat Arun and the palace as the boat passes those areas around sunset time but before it gets dark and for the area to light up. Food was not too bad but I didn't expect much as I was in it for the cruise.

We booked online which was really easy. On the day of the cruise, we went to River City early to get our stickers and were assigned seats outside on the deck so we got a very nice view of the buildings and sights during the cruise. The buffet dinner was also very good. The downside was that it rained and we had to go inside for a while until the rain was gone. This cruise was priced mid-range but the atmosphere was more relaxed and the entry to the boat was more orderly than the cheaper ones with so many people. We've tried the cheaper one before and this one is definitely better and worth the money.

I came here with plans to celebrate my parents 70th birthday. Brought our own special cake and told the waiter after we boarded. We waited for about 1.5 hours but nothing. My wife and I checked three times in between with answers telling us to just wait. After getting so fed up and annoyed, we complained again; then the waiters took us to the first floor, to a small seat for 4 (we alwere total 7). They brought back our cake, partially destroyed. The band was kind enough to squeeze in a birthday song for us, but too late, as everything was ruined for pur family already.

As the higher-end alternative to the Grand Pearl Cruise, the Wonderful Pearl really tries to up the luxury for its guests. The interior of the ship shouts modern Asian luxury, and food options are varied and abundant. They will not run out of food to serve! Coffee and tea are included but not juice or alcoholic drinks. The ship provides nice though very loud band music on its dining room stage, but those who prefer a quieter experience can stroll around on the upper deck. Seats are pre-assigned, but everyone is allowed to roam around the ship.

We had a fantastic time on the boat, sharing the experience with only one other family! We went for the 5.30pm sailing so we could see the actual sunset. Thank goodness! When we got off at 7pm the dock was packed, this would have made for a completely different experience.
Food was a good spread, plenty for the 8 of us to enjoy. There was a guy playing a saxophone while we cruised, absolutely lovely.
Only recommendation is that you pack your own drinks because a can of coke is 80 bhatt. We were given a glass of water when we sat down, but this wasn't refilled.

I tried the boat dinner while I was in Bangkok, as I have never done it before. The experience was interesting for me. First, I took the boat service from the hotel where I stay to another boat station where the represntative of the dinner cruise waited on the pick up location. And they took me to the minivan with other guests. Then the driver drove us to the main drop off area where was inside the mall by the river. Then they put the sticker on to my cloth based on the sitting arrangement. When the boarding time, they divided by the color of the sticker they put on. My sticker was Yellow, and my table was on the top outside deck near by main stage, which was soo cool

You spend this much money, it should at least include soft drinks or juice. No this does not! There are cheaper cruises on this river that have more variety and include drinks. I can understand charging for alcohol but come on.. at least include more than just water. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice boat but you are certainly paying for the atmosphere not the food. Find another boat to go on. Yes I have been on other dinner cruises and they have been better and cheaper.

We were upgraded to Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise due to limited number of participants. I would say that this is one for the books! Pick up was on time. Great selection of food and the view was magnificent.
