  • How to Reach Bangkok?

    By Flight

    To reach for the city of Bangkok there are two main airports, one running in the North and another from the East of Bangkok. It is the Suvarnabhumi Airport that locates itself 25 km to the east and the Don Muang Airport located 24 km to the north catering to domestic and international flights in abundance.

    Suvarnabhumi airport has direct and easy connectivity to the city by taxis, buses, and Airport Rail Link that is a high-speed train service in downtown Bangkok. There will be round the clock availability of roadway services from outside both the airports to drop you to your final destination.

    By Road

    The roadway services offer you with buses and taxis that get you wherever you wish to be in Bangkok. There are three bus terminals considered to be the major ones, the Northern Bus Terminal- Mochit, the Eastern Bus Terminal-Ekkamai, and the Southern Bus Terminal-Sa Tai.

    The buses will take you not just round the city but also to Pattaya, Krabi, Phuket, etc. cities neighbouring Bangkok. If looking out for taxi services, then do know that the taxis run according to the metered price so confirm the prices before the journey.

We booked this via the concierge at our hotel - it was reasonably priced and the cost included transfers to and from the hotel. We chose it over some of the other cruises because it looked traditional and was serving a Thai menu rather than a western buffet. However - the menu really needs a re-think as the emphasis is on quantity rather than quality. There is plenty of food but much of it is mediocre. The service is OK but you are presented with your drinks bill about half an hour before the end of the cruise! The boat is an old rice barge - busy but not overcrowded. The river at night is pretty with plenty of opportunity for photos.

Nice boat but that's really all. The food was average, drink were overpriced and the singers weren't really entertainment just a bit annoying. Thought there would be a bit more of pointing out of things but wasn't much of that.

The boat was traditional and nice but the food was terrible. We had the Thai and seafood set and we ended up getting a meal on the way home. The food was served cold to luke warm and the seafood was over cooked.

When we first got to the pier it was raining but it cleared up quickly. The boat it self is great because your not packed in with alot of other people like some other cruises. But the food was extremely disappointing. We ordered 1 seaford 1 Thai. My seafood was cold and over cooked (tough). Thai menu was luke warm and unfortunately filled with lots of mushrooms. On the way home we had to stop off to get something to eat. It would be a great cruise if they dramatically improved the food.

Having my meals right now, Wan Fah cruise offer you really authentic Thai cuisines. The food very Good , my spring roll very tasty, I paid 1400 baht for this, to me it is my money's worth. Recommended!

Like all things that include machines, there was a small problem with the lights. Which they fixed and apologize for. Food was good and the Thai dancing, although small, I enjoyed. A good way to see the river if you don't wanted to be surrounded by Chinese tour groups fighting for that Buffett.

We liked the cruise and food. We had selected the Thai menu, which was good. Drinks were reasonably priced. Service onboard was slightly unorganized, but worked friendly. We had transfer to/from hotel, which was punctual.

My wife and I went on the cruise for her birthday, it's not a cheap night so you would expect a well planned night. The organizers were going to do a small surprise for her. When that time came, they sang Happy Birthday with a cake and gave it to a guy on the other side of the boat who was very surprised, especially when it wasn't his birthday! My wife was upset to say the least and it ruined the night for us. The staff didn't show any remorse for wrecking the night.

Decided to pick this river dinner cruise over the others as it seemed a more authentic way to spend the evening. The boat is a lovely older boat, don't get distracted by the glitz and glamour of the "pearls" as we thought this was a little diamond.
The food was delicious, either a seafood or Thai food option, as there were two of us we decided to have 1 each. The seafood starter let the side down a little but after that it was great, drinks are extra and the cocktails weren't great as they tasted more like mocktails. The price for 3 beers and two cocktails just under 1000bht.

I recommend taking a dinner cruise while you are in Bangkok. The Wahfan cruise very nice. The cruise is on a rice barge that gave a very cultural setting unlike many cruises that use modern Yachts. The food was good. We ordered the seafood set and were very satisfied. The cultural show - dancing and music - was very entertaining.

We had a lovely evening on a dinner cruise on Chao Praya River in Bangkok. The cruise that we chose was with Wan Fah and it was worth every BAHT we spent. The sites are beautiful at night and so we took a lot of pictures. The food we excellent; we chose the seafood set menu. We really enjoyed the traditional music and dancing. Over all the evening was marvelous.
